McAlister Motors – Ranger Super Duty Guess the Weight Competition

Prize: $500 cash
Competition period: From 21/08/26 12pm until 28/08/26 12pm AEST.
1. Eligibility
Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years or over.
Employees, directors and owners of McAlister Motors, and their immediate family members, are not eligible to enter.
The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of any entrant.
2. How to Enter
To enter, participants must comment on the official McAlister Motors competition post on Facebook or Instagram with their estimate of the combined weight, in kilograms, of the McAlister Motors team shown in the competition video.
Only one entry per person is permitted.
No purchase is necessary to enter.
Entries must be received before the competition closing time.
Edited, deleted or duplicate entries may be deemed invalid at the Promoter's discretion.
3. Determining the Winner
The official competition weight will be the weight displayed by the Ranger Super Duty Onboard Scales during the filming of the competition video.
The winner will be the eligible entrant whose submitted guess is closest to the official competition weight.
The official weight will be measured and recorded by McAlister Motors before the competition is published.
In the event that two or more eligible entrants are equally close to the official weight, the winner will be determined by a random draw conducted by McAlister Motors from those tied entrants.
The Promoter's determination of the official weight and winner is final, subject to applicable Australian consumer and competition laws.
4. Prize
The winner will receive $500 AUD cash.
The prize is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for another prize or vehicle discount.
The prize will be paid by [bank transfer/cash/other method] following confirmation of the winner's identity and eligibility.
McAlister Motors is not responsible for any tax implications arising from the receipt of the prize. Entrants should obtain their own tax advice if required.
5. Winner Announcement
The winner will be announced on the McAlister Motors Facebook and/or Instagram page on or about 28/08/26.
The winner will also be contacted via direct message using the social media account from which their winning entry was submitted.
The winner must respond within 14 days of being contacted.
If the winner does not respond within 14 days, or is found to be ineligible, the Promoter may select another eligible winner using the same winner-selection method.
6. Privacy
Personal information provided by entrants will be used for the purposes of administering the competition, contacting the winner and awarding the prize.
By entering, participants consent to McAlister Motors using their name and competition entry for the purposes of administering and publicly announcing the competition winner.
Personal information will otherwise be handled in accordance with McAlister Motors' applicable privacy practices.
7. General
The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who breaches these Terms & Conditions or attempts to manipulate or interfere with the competition.
The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, modify or extend the competition where reasonably necessary, subject to applicable laws and reasonable notice to participants.
If circumstances beyond the Promoter's reasonable control prevent the competition from operating as intended, the Promoter may take reasonable steps to modify or cancel the competition.
The Promoter's decisions regarding the administration of the competition will be final, subject to applicable law.
8. Social Media Disclaimer
This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook or Instagram.
By entering, participants release Facebook and Instagram from any responsibility or liability arising from or relating to the promotion.
9. Acceptance
By entering the competition, participants are deemed to have accepted these Terms & Conditions.
